the new Bidvertiser ads

DOLLAR SIGN (2)If you are a regular visitor to this blog then you may have noticed, the new Bidvertiser ads sprinkled around. I started running these about a week ago just to try it out. I did not really expect a lot since I used to run Google Adsense on this blog and it never did very well at all.

My overall CTR for Google Adsense is fairly decent, but on this site it never performed. Even when I did get clicks the payout was only a penny or two. Needless to say I did not expect much out of Bidvertiser on this site. well its only been running a week or two and my CTR is still not great, but I have noticed when I get links they are worth a lot more. So much more that I may dump Adsense on one or two other of my sites which are focused towards ad clickers and see how it performs there. I need to ensure there are ads focused towards my niches on those sites, but if the revenue per click sticks to the same percentage I’ve seen on this site and they have relevant ads, then I could triple my PPC based revenue across my virtual real-estate. If you have sites that perform decent with Adsense, but not to the level you expect them too, then Bidvertiser may be worth checking out.

The program has similar amenities as Google Adsense, although they are fairly new and they don’t have as many advertisers as the Jolly Green Google Giant, but it is still fairly new and seems to have some potential. In addition to the higher paying ads, they also have a referral program like Google has, but their referral program works a little better in my opinion, read its not as hard to earn the minimum payout so it stands to reason that even sites with little to no traffic may be able to earn money and thus earn you commissions for sites you refer. I’ve been with Google for a little over three years and I have referred quite a few publishers to their system, but I have yet to be paid by Google for any of my referrals. This is because with the hundred dollar payout at Google, a lot of Adsense publishers never earn their first check. With bidvertiser the minimum amount for payment is $10 dollars so this should allow more people to actually get something for their efforts.

How much can you earn through google adsense

Google’s AdSense is a fascinating revenue-sharing opportunity for small, medium and large web sites. Some webmasters are designing brand new sites specifically for serving AdSense text ads. (It’s against the AdSense rules to design a site purely for AdSense, so you’ll want to include a few affiliate Affiliate links or sell your own product, too.)

I read an article about how to increase adsense revenue from associate programs here is the analysis from the article

Let’s say you have a goal of earning $100,000 a year from AdSense. Is that possible? Let’s see … $100,000 divided by 365 = $274 a day. So your goal is to produce either:

  • 274 pages which earn $1 a day or
  • 548 pages which earn 50 cents a day or
  • 1096 pages which earn 25 cents a day

The following are hypothetical cases. To earn $1 a day per page, you need, per page…

  • 400 visitors, 5% click-through rate (CTR CTR) and average 5c payout.
  • Or 200 visitors, 10% CTR and an average 5c payout.
  • Or 100 visitors, 10% CTR, and an average 10c payout.
  • Or 100 visitors, 5% CTR, and an average 20c payout

Let’s assume you choose a goal somewhere around the middle, say aiming for 50 visitors per page and want 274 pages earning $1 a day. You’d need 274 x 50 = 13,700 pageviews a day.

Does that sound too tough? If so, you’d better look for more profitable keywords and ways to improve your click-through rates.

Let’s try a different scenario, You choose more profitable keywords and make your $1 on average per page from, say, 10 visitors. 274 x 10 = 2740 pageviews a day, That’s looking easier to achieve, If your average visitor sees 3 pages, you now need 913 unique visitors a day.

Is that too tough to achieve in your niche? If so, create two sites, each attracting half that number, 456 unique visitors, a day, Can’t achieve those click-through rates and payouts? Then you’ll either need more pages on your sites on more niche sites.

Please note, because of the AdSense rules, these are all hypothetical cases. I’m not allowed to give real cases. Real CTR rates and payouts vary hugely.Choose the goal which best matches your site or sites.

Then start building keyword-rich pages containing well researched, profitable keywords, and get lots of high quality links to your site.

For example, if your site is about topics such as debt consolidation, web hosting or asbestos-related cancer, you’ll earn much more per click than if it’s about free things.

On the other hand, if you concentrate only on top-paying keywords, you’ll face an awful lot of tough competition.

What you want are keywords that are high in demand and low in supply, So do some careful keyword research before you build your pages.

Happy Keyword researching

Adsense Optimization Tips for Webmasters and Publishers

Too many times I heard that publishers complained about not having enough traffic to earn meaningful AdSense revenue. “If only I have more traffic…” was so commonly read on forums that I think I have to do something with it.

It’s true. Traffic is one of the critical equation to success not just in earning a nice check from Google AdSense, but that really is not the only variable in the equation too. Building traffic, especially to attract organic search engine traffic, requires patience and persistence.

If you gradually build compelling content for both visitors and search engines and properly increase link popularity of your pages, after some time the traffic will come. When that will happen varies from one site to another. Some will have a surge of traffic from the second or third month, some may have to wait for years.

Be forewarned that you never do anything against search engines’ best practices. For Google, follow the Google’s Webmaster Guidelines.

But meanwhile, while you are waiting there are a bunch of things you can do other than keep building content. If you can just increase your click-through rate as much as 20% by choosing the right AdSense colors/formats for your article pages, you are insane if you don’t go for it. It is as if 20% of free money with very little effort.

Sounds very simple, everybody has already known that, right? No, in fact we’ve seen so many times webpages which use default AdSense color schemes and formats. Not to say that they’re bad, but they are certainly not the best choice for every situation. Just because Google have it by default doesn’t mean it is the best for every publishers and webmasters.

So here they are, links to the full article series I’ve written over the weeks catering to Google AdSense Optimization Tips for webmasters and publishers. These articles tell you in a straightforward manner how to format (or reformat) your AdSense ads, use the right colors, and get the powerful tools to help improve it for you.

None of us know what is the best for other fellow publishers so this article series starts with some general information but if you utitlize channels and other tools to test and track for best performance ads (tips no. 9 and 10), you will improve your AdSense earning:

How to Start an Internet Business without Capital

My friends and some of my readers often ask me how to start an online business without capital, do you need start up capital to be an affiliate? what is the easiest home business to run that will most likely be successful? Can I make good money online? How much doest it take to be reach like the big names?

My answer always is you don’t need money to make money from home. You need just confidence, willingness to succeed and a good idea, and don't worry so much about if it'll work or not. You can just try it, since it won't cost you any money. Forget about being perfect or being right. Just get your home business going and see what happens.

Most of them aspire to earn the big bucks like some of the well-known marketers out there, such as Ken Evoy, Dan Kennedy, Bryan Kumar, etc... However, most of my friends and others willing to make a living online have only the slightest ideas on where to start, and a lot of them are not willing or able to invest a startup capital in their online business. However, it is possible to start a home business without spending money but you need to work hard and invest time to get where you want to be!

Online business is just like any other business. It is not a get rich quick scheme. Online business is simple but it’s not easy! You'd make money only if you devote time and effort. But the end result is great.

The first and most important thing to do is to list out all your skills. What skills do you have? You may have picked up these skills through daily life, through your job or from your hobbies. It is most vital to list down skills or knowledge that you have and might be in demand elsewhere.

You can give tuition to students on your dominant subject in college, you can teach wemen how to rise kids, you can teach stuff about your hobby to people who are interested, you can write guides on knowledge or skills you picked up through experience and cannot be found in theoretical books, you can tell stories to anyone, and if you’re a good storyteller, anyone will listen!

For example, you love fly-fishing and you do it every day after work. You may build your home business upon this: writing an instructional guide on fly-fishing, teaching people how to do it, etc. Best of all, you do not need to spend money to acquire this knowledge. You already have it.

So, the very first option, if you have no money to start off your home business, is to create a blog using either Blogger.com, or WordPress.com, or any other Blog medium and start writing about what you know. Your already existing skills and work-life experiences can be your ticket to home business success.

Most successful bloggers are the ones with new ideas and solutions for problems facing us as individuals, organizations, companies, societies, countries, etc…

People like to solve problems and to achieve goals. People like to learn about things that are meaningful to them, and they like to explore new horizon. Give them what whey want and you will be in your way to success.

Do not underestimate your experience, and even if you have no experience, do not underestimate your knowledge. Do not assume that what you know and understand about certain circumstances in life either job-related or personal is not absolutely important and beneficial to many people in the world.

If you don’t believe me read this African story and if if you are curious and want to visit his blog you can find it here!

What you need now is to prepare your self to get your home business start on strong basis. All information and needed online marketing tools are at your fingertips! So, what are you waiting for?

What could be better than working from home as your own boss, earning money from your own ideas, and owning the freedom to do whatever you want on any day within a moments notice. Create your home-based business from a passion, something you absolutely love to do and your success is nearly guaranteed.

Strategies to Maximize CTR

Click-through rate (CTR) is an interesting topic to bring up on discussion boards, blogs and on industrial events where web publishers gather together to talk about website publishing revenue.

As you might have read, CTR depends upon too many factors it may be acceptable for one site, great for others and lousy for other half.

There is no such thing as a good or healthy CTR. In previous blog post, I have also outlined how you should approach CTR numbers published by others.

That said, here are a few suggestions to help you improve and maximize your CTR:

  1. Start by optimizing your ads
  2. It is wise to concentrate on content first then place ad units as an exit points for readers to proceed with. Low CTR is not always bad. People may stay on your site to read pages and pages of content before leaving by clicking on ads. If you want them to click on ads, place ad units where they are most likely to be seen after reading content.
  3. Use AdSense (or any of the ad network you participate in) features to the max. Some of them include site targeting, tracking, preview tools, competitive ad blocking, etc.
  4. Maximize traffic by reusing and recycling existing visitors. If people are interested with what you have to offer, then let them in for more. Allow them to subscribe to RSS feeds or email newsletters easily. You can direct them back to your site or blog for fresh and new updates, which could result in more clicks on your ads.

Set a point where enough is enough. You don’t want to be caught in the loop of over-optimizing ad units. You may better spend your time on producing more content that translates into more pages to display ads on, or develop other traffic strategies to continually add new traffic stream that you can monetize.

Google Adsense Basics

Adsense is considered as one of the most powerful method of making money online. It is perhaps the fastest and easiest way to start home based business. It enables a website or blog owner to monetize his/her sites easily. If used properly, it can generate a steady stream of income.

If you’re reading this, you obviously have some interest in starting your home business. You don’t even have to have your own site. For example, anyone can write a blog even if it’s just your own opinion on something. Just find a good small business idea and you are on your way for cash.

What is Google Adsense?

Here’s the wikipedia definitions for Google AdSense - AdSense is an ad serving program run by Google. Website owners can enroll in this program to enable text, image and, more recently, video advertisements on their sites. These ads are administered by Google and generate revenue on either a per-click or per-thousand-impressions basis. Google is also currently beta-testing a cost-per-action based service. How Google Adsense Works?

Advertisers pay Google when someone clicks on their ads which are placed on pages that contain text. For example, if you write content about lawn mowers, you will likely see ads from lawn mower manufacturers and/or retailers on that page. When someone clicks on those ads, you make money. The advertiser pays Google and Google pays you.

Am I Going to Make a Lot of Money With Google Adsense?

While we can’t guarantee results, of course, since a lot of your success lies in your own hands, I wouldn’t have written this article if I didn’t believe in the power of Google AdSense. A lot of webmasters are making a lot of money off of AdSense, and there’s no reason you shouldn’t be one of them.

The amount of money you can make with Google AdSense mainly depends on many factors. The main factor is the popularity of your subject matter. For instance, a site about women’s issues can make some serious bucks on AdSense because of the high level of competition for related keywords.

The CPC (cost per click) is the amount you get paid every time a user clicks on one of those ads. CPC rates for competitive keywords can be more than $1, which translates directly to your site’s earning potential within the program.

However, if you’re in a less competitive market, you’ll make less money—that’s just a fact of life. The cost per click (CPC) varies from as low as $0.02 to some $xx.xx. That is, the CPC varies depending on the targeted keywords of the advertisement.

Still, it’s unusual to see anyone using Google AdSense report earnings of less than an effective $1 CPC, and the average runs in the range of $4-$5 CPC. Some people are making an effective CPM of $20 or more with AdSense. Oh, and best yet, this is all after Google takes its commission.

About that commission…commission is definitely one thing is that’s a little bit unclear with AdSense. Google doesn’t publicize its “cut”, and only displays the publisher’s cut in proprietary member reports, so getting good, accurate information on this has been difficult.

To date, comparisons of AdWords rates with AdSense earnings add up to commissions of between 40% and 60%. People wonder all the time on user boards as to why Google refuses to publish its commission rates, but no one has the answer. It might have something to do with legal reasons or it could just be that Google wants to retain the ability to change rates without having to send out an announcement about it each time, which costs money.

What Kind Of Ads Do I Have To Put Up?

You don’t have to decide. Google does it for you. Google determines which ads to serve to a particular content site by analyzing the material in the pages where the ads are served. AdSense always delivers relevant ads that are precisely targeted on a page-by-page basis to the content that people find on your site.

For example, if you have a page that tells the story of your pet fish, Google will send you ads for that site that are for pet stores, fish food, fish bowls, aquariums…you get the picture.

If you decide you want to add a Google search box to your site, then AdSense will deliver relevant ads targeted to the Google search results pages that your visitors’ search request generated.

You can also make money referring other people to Google Adsense. By placing a referral button on your site you increase your earnings potential. When a publisher that you referred makes their initial $100.00 within 90 days of sign-up and is eligible for payout, your account will also be credited $100.00. Additionally, they must never have registered for a Google Adsense account before.

How to Make Money With Google Adsense Using Free Blogs

People always ask me - How much money is needed to start an on line business? The answer is you don’t need money if your budget don’t allow. You don’t need even a webhosting, a domain name or a website. You need home business examples, dedication, hard work and patience.

You can start make money online with no start up capital using free blogs. Earning money with Adsense can be done easily and quickly. You will be amazed at the results you will be getting in such a short period of time if you know where to go and how to do it.

We suppose that you are ready to get your based business home start and you have a good small business start up idea. Here the main five steps you need to put into mind to have an effective Adsense business.

1 - Find The Right Keyword Adsense To Optimise Your Blog.

Keyword adsense research is the first step towards a successful search engine optimization campaign. You have to be very careful when selecting keywords, as it can be very tricky to select targeted keywords for a website or blog.

The selection of keywords should always be based on various aspects such as product names, services, brands, or general terms. Often times, people forget about targeting geographical terms when they have global presence.

Be sure to select keyword adsense that clearly define your business and products to drive traffic from the search engines. There are some websites which get high levels of traffic through general keywords although they might not end up being clicks or sales.

Find some popular subjects, keywords or keyword phrases. Select the ones which you think have more people clicking through. There are numerous tools available which will help you identify keywords that are suitable for search engines. The challenge here is to determine which keyword is the best to generate traffic.

Note: Please don’t take this lightly. Because, if you target the wrong key phrases all your efforts are in vain so, take the needed time to do it right. Whether you're a web newbie or a professional developer, Keywords are very important. If you choose the wrong keywords, you will miss your target market, and attract the wrong type of customer.

2 - Write Great Blogs and Watch Your Adsense Dollars Add Up.

The best thing about blogging is that there are no rules. You can write about anything you want. There are some things you can do to maximize your Google Adsense profits.

- Narrow your subject - Don’t just write about shopping. Write about shopping for antique dresser drawer pulls for example. Write every day. Have as many blog as you can handle. If you develop a readership, you’re more likely to increase your profits.

- Write about something you know or want to know or at the very least care about - If you try to write a great blog based on a “hot keyword” yet it’s something you could care less about, you’ll likely not stay with it long. Experiment and see what works for you. You can write based on your own opinion or something factual. You can review a product or service or a movie. Read other people’s blogs and notice how many readers they’re getting.

- Writing quality content articles which are also keyword incorporated - There are a lot of people given the gift of being good with words. Writing comes easy for them. Why not make it work in such a way that you will be earning some extra cash in the process.

Above all, have fun. After all, it’s free and if you’re persistent you’ll see your Google Adsense dollars adding up.

3 - Apply With Google Adsense

It’s easy to apply with AdSense and it only takes a few minutes. You fill out one single online application and that’s it. Once you're approved, it takes only minutes to set up AdSense; all you have to do is copy and paste a designated block of HTML into the source code for your site. Don’t be intimidated by the html code it’s already formatted. Once you do that, targeted ads will start showing up on your website To fill out the online application, go to: https://www.google.com/adsense/g-app-single-1

4 - Position Your Ads

The proper positioning of your ads should be done with care. Try to position your ads where surfers are most likely to click on them. According to research, the one place that surfers look first when they visit a certain site is the top left. The reason behind this is not known. Maybe it is because some of the most useful search engine results are at the top of all other rankings. So visitors tend to look in that same place when browsing through other sites.

5 - Keep an Open Eye on Google’s Statistics

Adsense has some excellent tracking statistics that allows webmasters and publishers to track their results across a number of sites on a site by site, page by page, or any other basis you wanted. You should be aware oft his capability and make the most of it because it is one powerful tool that will help you find out which ads are performing best. This way, you can fine tune your Adsense ads and focus more on the ones being visited the most rather than those who are being ignored.

Tips for Maximizing Your Google Adsense Earnings.

Some of those who are just starting at this business may think they are doing pretty well already and thinking that their clickthrough rates are quite healthy. However, there are more techniques and styles to generate more clicks to double your earnings. By knowing these techniques and working them to your advantage, you will realize that you will be getting three times more than other people who have been previously doing what they are doing.

Remember, like anything else, you’ll get out of Google Adsense what you put into it. The following tips can help you grow your Google Adsense dollars:
  • Read everything you can about Google Adsense. Learn from others’ experiences and mistakes.

  • Learn how to optimize your site for the most enjoyable and profitable Google Adsense experience. Realize it does take some time and hard work. That’s why it’s so important that you write about something you care about. Hard work is even harder if you don’t like what you’re doing.

  • Visit other sites that are benefiting from Google Adsense. Click on the ads only if you are truly interested in the product or service being advertised. Read other people’s blogs and comment on them. Only offer a comment though if it is truly cincere.

  • Write interesting content and write every day.

  • Have more than one site. The more sites you have, the more ads have the potential to get clicked.
  • Set up channels and monitor your statistics across all sites. If one site is performing poorly, consider changing the content or the ad layout. Experiment!

  • Change the ad layout and notice which layout works the best for you. There are many different layout options and there’s no way you can know going in which one will perform the best.
  • Don’t be afraid to ask questions. Visit forums, ask question and you will be surprised on how forums’ users are helpful!

Hopefully, these helpful tips will ease you into using the program and help you avoid mistakes that could possibly cost you a lot of time or money.

Don’ts for Using the Google Adsense Program

Google Adsense is a fun and easy way to make extra money. It’s important to follow the rules though as Google is serious about the integrity of this program. Not following the rules could result in your Google Adsense account being terminated. As there have been many sites turned down, you'll need to ensure your site meets Google's criteria prior to applying. Read the rule at the next web address: https://www.google.com/adsense/policies

Here are a few Don’ts for using the program:

  • Never, ever, ever click on your own ads. Google Adsense makes it very clear this won’t be tolerated.
  • Don’t ask your friends and family to click on your ads. Rather, earn money by referring them to the Google Adsense program.

  • Don’t participate in the Google Adsense program strictly for the money. This is not a get-rich-quick scheme. It will take time and hard work to make a profit.
  • Don’t worry if you don’t understand everything the first day. Although the Google Adsense program is extremely user-friendly, it may take a little time to integrate all the facets of the program. Be patient and above all, have fun!

The good news is that it’s not necessary to “cheat.” Google Adsense is so easy you’ll make more money just going by the rules. Have or write interesting content that will turn up in search engines and you have “targeted” the right people to read your content and click hose ads.

Finally...

To really start making money with Adsense, you should have a definite focus on what you wanted to achieve and how you will go about achieving them. As with any other kind of business ventures, you will need patience coupled with a bit of work on your part.

Do not just ignore your site and your Adsense once you have finished accomplishing them. Spare some time, even an hour, making adjustments to the Adsense ads on your sites to quickly trigger your Adsense income.

Give it a try and you would not regret having gotten into Adsense in the first place.
